SCOUBIDOU, Beginning and Ending
There are
Start with a knot/loop
Tie a Scoubidou strand with a semi knot around a pen or pencil (see picture 1)
Then place a Scoubidou strand under the knot (see picture 2)
Now you make a
Straigt knot or a Round knot.
To begin with more than 2 Scoubidou Strands, pe.e with 3,4,5,6 or more strands, you make first a half knot around a pencil (see photo's below)
and then plze the other scoubidou strands on the knot and make another half knot to tie the strands.
Now continue with the technique of your choice.
Start without a knot
To begin without a loop, take 2 strands and cross them over each other.
Using 1 strand make a semi knot in the middle of the other strand,
so all ends are even. Now you can start knotting, without having a loop.
Tied Together
To make a bracelet of your scoubidou, you knot with four scoubidou strands. Make a big knot in the 4 strands
(this will be loosened if we are ready). And start knotting round or straight, just as you like.
When the scoubidou is long enough to for around your wrist, then untie the big knot and tie all the ends together.
